Rachel Palmer, the new assistant director of career development in the College of Science has always "hit the ground running" and has no intention of slowing down. In this new position, Palmer aims to educate students on the importance of career development.

Roy Haggery, dean of the College of Science since 2017, is leaving to become executive vice president and provost at Louisiana State University. He has been at Oregon State for over 26 years.

BioHealth sciences senior pivots to medical device sales to ‘help patients breathe that much easier’

Cody Fretwell, (BioHealth Sciences, '22) switched from biology to biohealth sciences for the pre-physician assistant option. Four years later, he is happy with his decision. “I’ve enjoyed a lot of the classes specific to my major, focusing more on the human aspects of biology.”

Eileen and Norbert Hartmann Faculty Scholar established to support faculty in College of Science

The Hartmann Faculty Scholar was established in 2021 by Eileen Hartmann, ’74, ’76, and Norbert Hartmann to support faculty in the College of Science. Their planned estate gift also benefits scholarships in OSU Baseball and Women’s Basketball, Polk County 4-H and programs in the College of Science.
