LIFT Science: Monthly discussions around disparities in science workforce

Julie Greenwood, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies, cell biologist and advocate for the trans and queer community at OSU

The new monthly career development speaker series, LIFT Science, which stands for Leverage Inclusion for Thriving, offers engaging roundtable discussions for students about disparities in the science workforce. This program is a joint collaboration between the Career Development Center and the College of Science.

Talks will focus on issues such as gender, race, ethnicity, family income, sexual orientation, nontraditional lifestyles, and more. All students are welcome to join these discussions.

LIFT Science kicks off October 10 with a discussion on “Celebrating our Differences,” led by Julie Greenwood, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies, cell biologist and advocate for the trans and queer community at OSU.
