- How have your life experiences prepared you for a career in medicine?
- How will you deal with patients different from you?
- Why do you want to be a doctor?
- What will you do if you don't get into any medical schools?
- What do you think is the biggest problem facing the medical industry today?
- How would you fix it?
- How did you choose your major?
- Do you think we should go to war? What are the consequences?
- Why were you motivated to do these things…religion?
- Where do you see yourself in ten years?
- Why don't you just become (whatever your major is)?
- What will you contribute to our class?
- What is your greatest accomplishment?
- What are your biggest weaknesses? How will you deal with these in a medical career?
- The future of medicine looks bleak, why do you want to enter it?
- Were you encouraged by your family to pursue medicine?
- How did you have time to do all that?
- What are you most proud of?
- Tell us about a time you really helped someone.
Preparation
- They will ask you to evaluate ethical dilemmas.
- Have three questions ready to ask the interviewer.
- Look extensively at the school's website. What is unique about the school? What makes you want to go there?
