By students, for students

Peer Advisors can help you register for classes, apply for scholarships and help you feel a part of Team Science at OSU.

The Science Success Center’s Peer Advisors are extensively trained science students who will offer you valuable guidance about on-campus services, programs and resources as you transition to life as an OSU science student. Peer Advisors are available to answer your questions about a particular science major, classes, research, internship and study abroad opportunities in different majors, science student clubs, registration and all sorts of other issues. They can help you register for classes, apply for scholarships and help you feel part of Team Science at OSU. Peers offer assistance to students via phone and email as well as one-on-one meetings.

Peer advisors help produce the RECALIBRATE digital student newsletter that will keep you informed every month about not-to-be-missed events at the Science Success Center. Peer Advisors also help plan and organize a number of fun and engaging social occasions throughout the year to improve student motivation, student learning, progress and achievement. These include nourishing study breaks and creative de-stress events such as painting succulents and "Slippin,' Slime and Spooky Time" for Halloween.

During the fall 2020 term, the Science Success Center is open remotely weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can still reach the peers through Zoom – https://oregonstate.zoom.us/j/607574630? (passcode 916479) or by email at sciencesuccess@oregonstate.edu.
