Weird Science: Doughnuts, games and a study break

Voodoo Doughnuts and the annual Science Fair

The College of Science Student Advisory Committee’s Science Fair is back—complete with quirky science games, prizes, student clubs and crazy doughnuts from Voodoo Doughnuts in Portland. Join us Friday, June 3 from 11 am – 2 pm on the Valley Library Quad near Kidder Hall. Just look for the pink Voodoo Doughnut truck!

Check out the event on the College of Science's Facebook page to let us know you are coming!

But the best part is you can take a break from studying to catch up with friends and professors or learn about the many science clubs at OSU. All of the science clubs will be on hand with cool science games and demonstrations. Play pin the oxygen on the hemoglobin, do the Periodic Table Relay, play the antibiotic game. You can even make origami, fractal crafts, make your own stress ball with putty or science bookmarks. Win a prize or just stop by to talk science.

Students can even meet with the Career Development Center to learn about career resources specifically for science students.

There will plenty of chemistry, physics, math, statistics, biology, microbiology, biohealth sciences and biochemistry talk AND doughnuts.

Celebrate the end of spring term!

Don’t miss our Weird Science study break. Maybe even get some tips for that P-Chem final exam you’ve been cramming for.

This event is jointly sponsored by the College of Science and its Science Student Advisory Committee in an effort to build a strong community of through science and raise the visibility and the love of science at OSU.
