Background
Biography
I am a marine physiologist with a career-long interest in coral-algal symbiosis. These partnerships are of fundamental importance as they form the trophic and structural foundation of coral reef ecosystems. My group studies the cellular, molecular and genomic mechanisms that underlie the establishment, maintenance and breakdown of these cooperative associations.
