Misty previously worked in the Office for Sponsored Research and Award Administration (OSRAA) as the managing proposal analyst here at OSU. Before that, she worked in sponsored programs administration for 14 years in various capacities.

She received her undergraduate degree in communication and visual journalism from the University of Texas at Arlington and her graduate degree in technical and scientific communications from Miami University, in Oxford, Ohio. She also has certifications in research administration, web and mobile app design and development, cybersecurity and security.
